Bisna Kami is a 72-year-old woman living in Surkhet with her husband. Being disabled and aged, she used to sustain her household with the money her children sent from India and with her husband’s senior citizen allowance. Her life suddenly faced a crisis when the lockdown started and she couldn’t receive her allowances anymore.  Soon, she couldn’t restock her ration let alone buy sanitizers and masks to stay safe.  The government seems to have forgotten about her and previously generous locals have now started to shun her. Reflecting on her situation she thinks that hunger will take her life before Corona does.
