Dipa Gautam is the Vice-President of the Badhaiyataal Rural Municipality, Bardiya. Her municipality is striving to address this pandemic in the most efficient way possible. They have established 17 quarantine centers where facilities like clean water, daily meals, sanitary pads for women, etc are provided. They have prioritized women’s safety and well-being within their facilities. Additionally, they have also given special care to the, often overlooked, psychosocial health of the people in quarantine. As Badhaiyataal Rural Municipality seeks to mitigate corona transmission, members like Dipa are relying on measures like sanitizers and masks to stay safe.
