Sumitra Shahi is a Community Health Volunteer from Kanchanpur. Being a public health worker meant that while the rest of the nation was under lockdown, Shahi had to head out and had performed her duties. She worked closely with communities for immunization and awareness programs. This was, of course, followed by skepticism from both her family and her society. However, Shahi keeps striving as she believes that her work can make an impact.
