Save the Date – Film Screening ‘Devi’: A Story of Resilience and Justice

On March 28th, Aide à l’Enfance de l’Inde et du Népal (AEIN) will host a special screening of the documentary Devi at Kinepolis Kirchberg, Luxembourg. This compelling documentary brings to light the struggles of survivors of sexual violence during Nepal’s Civil War, a conflict that officially ended in 2006 but continues to leave deep scars on many lives.

At the heart of the film is Devi Khadka, a former rebel warrior, mother, and survivor of sexual violence. While Nepal moves forward, she finds herself battling not only her personal trauma but also a system that seeks to erase rape from the history of the war. As impunity prevails, Devi embarks on a courageous journey to seek justice—not just for herself, but for all survivors.

Shot as an immersive verité, the film travels with Devi, as she consolidates the voices of survivors.
